Ecolab Food & Beverage Launches P3-mip® CC
Highly effective CIP at reduced alkalinity compared to conventional products

Clean in Place operations (C.I.P.). in the Food & Beverage Industries has been heavily reliant on using high alkalinity. In large modern plants with sometimes hundreds of individual cleans the high quantities of caustic based materials can put a high load and cost on the wastewater systems. In addition highly alkaline cleaning solutions are often difficult to rinse leading to high water purchase and disposal costs plus additional hydraulic load on wastewater systems.
P3-mip® CC is a new formulation; scientists at Ecolab have discovered that using a synergistic blend of detergent builders can reduce the normal alkalinity of C.I.P. cleaning by upto 30%. The lower in use concentration compared to other products allows a smaller inventory to held at the manufacturing plant and reduced transport costs with the associated benefit in reduced carbon emissions.
